Straw lamps are really easy and cheap DIY for your room. You can club several of these using different colours and different sizes.
TIP: If you want to try out an elegant look you can use metallic spray paints!
Things you will need:
Straws, scissor, thread, cello tape, and spray paint (of any colour you like)!
Step 1:
Fold the straw into two equal halves.
Step 2:
Cut that straw into 2 pieces.
Step 3:
Make 18 such pieces of equal size.
Step 4:
Now make a triangle by joining 3 straws with a thread, knotting it tightly at the end.
Make six such triangles.
Step 5:
Form a six-pointed star with these triangles and tie them up at the end using a thread, as shown in the picture.
Step 6:
Now join a full-length straw on the top vertex of each triangle of the star, making it six straws on all six vertices respectively.
Step 7:
Fold the straws and insert them one inside the other from the top. Then, tie them tightly using a cello tape or a thread. Your lamp has finally started taking shape!
Step 8:
Now, spray paint the lamp in any colour of your choice and let it dry.
