Her father being a lover of indian classical music, Renuka Indurkar inherited the same love and started listening to music and singing at the tender age of 6. Every morning the house used to brim with the records of legends like Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Kishori Amonkar, Arati Ankalikar. When Renuka got admission into Dr. PDMMC, a medical college in Amravati in 2012, along came long hours of studies, exams which made practicing music really difficult. Her zeal to learn & practice music brought her to Nagpur every weekend. From then on there was no stopping her. Her tryst to carve a niche in the field of music led her to bag many accolades in singing competitions conducted all over India. Some of tha places Renuka has performed at include Patrakar Bhavan (Pune), Indian Habitat Centre (Delhi), Gandharva Mahavidyalay (Pune), Nagpur Mahotsav. Renuka has also performed in various programmes like ‘Suno Bhai sadho’ based on the compositions of Kabir, ‘Meera’ based on Meera bhajans, ‘Swarartharamani’ a programme based on musical journey of Kishori Amonkar, ‘Kahat Gunijan’ based on the bandishes composed by renowned bandishkars of Vidarbha. ‘Rutuchakra’. She feels fortunate to have learnt music under the guidance of her father, Smt. Arati Ankalikar Tikekar (since 4 years) & Dr. Sadhana Shiledar  (since 9 years).
