In a conversation with Nationally acclaimed Hairstylist & pioneer of the Nagpur’s Luxury Spa & Salon Industry.

How does it feel to be a pioneer in the fastest growing Hospitality Industry?
Being a pioneer is really a huge responsibility. I believe in change. Indeed its a great feeling to be known for what you have always dreamt of. But, its just the half journey through which, my team and I have achieved success and the rest is still in process.

What’s the success mantra behind growing with such a great pace?
(Laughs) We are still growing and there is only one mantra; to bring an affirmative change in every aspect. I received training in Javed Habib’s Institute and was lucky to be a part of their initial expansion phase. It gave me an exposure I was striving for. Post that, working for other brands in cities like Delhi, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, etc., where the experience has only acted as a catalyst to my dream project and eventually my mantras.

How did CHANGE Salon happen?
The answer is, gradually. When I was planning to start my own Salon, the competition was too intense in all the metropolitan cities I had worked in. So, planned for Nagpur, as here the growth seemed evident and people had less idea about Salon and Spa culture, as there was no one to give the right customer experience with 360 degree services.

Everybody in business is fighting for team and manpower. How do you manage that?
I am an Artist, I follow a basic principle. You grow as a team. So, in these last few years of my career, I have seen people coming to us with no skills and evolving as Artists. And I feel proud of my team when I see clients calling, taking appointments and waiting to be styled by the Artists we have created.

What is your take on Thinkin’Nagpur?
It is very heartwarming to know that someone has finally taken up the initiative to promote the Artists and the thriving Art in our city. I am surprised this is circulated free of cost, considering the quality of paper and content. Keep up the great work. All the best!
