“When I was in class 8, there was a poem writing competition. The theme was ‘Beautiful India’, and I wrote my heart out. On submitting my poem, I was complimented by the invigilator who also said that I would definitely get selected. That remark really encouraged me to start writing”, says Siddharth Roy (Novelist).

When he got into writing, his friends, family and teachers started appreciating his writing skills and the emotional connect his writing skills had. Siddharth thought of penning down his words for “The Special Fish”, when he saw the plight of the aged at an old-age home, children begging outside every possible signal, old men pulling cycle rickshaws and increasing rate of farmer suicides in Maharashtra.

He has written a love story which is published by Power Publications and is humble enough to share all the profits of this book with the farmers of Maharashtra. He believes that if he cannot help all the farmers in distress, but with this initiative, he can help at least a few of them.
