After a tiresome day at school, five-year-old Abbasi had just come to the playground outside his house. All busy in his games, Abbasi saw a kid strolling alone along the boundary of the park. Prakash had long hair and was taller than most kids his age and hence grabbed Abbasi’s attention. They were introduced to each other by their parents when they came to pick them up. Abbasi became Prakash’s first friend.

Luckily, Prakash was admitted to the same school as Abbasi’s and this made them the best of friends in no time. The games after the school were a part of their routine now and they kept on inventing new ways to get to the top of the abandoned building besides the park.

Years passed and Prakash became quite famous for his long hair and smoking habits in his high school. Despite being constantly warned by Abbasi, Prakash continued to smoke as he thought this would add to his increasing popularity in his school.

It was during one of the football matches when an excellent centre forward Prakash failed to make a penalty as he collapsed mid-way. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Abbasi got the news a bit late as he was busy with his medical entrance examinations and rushed to the hospital immediately. Abbasi though aware of the reason of Prakash’s health, waited for the news from the doctors. Prakash’s parents were called in the doctor’s cabin which was on the 9th floor. The tricks Prakash and Abbasi used, to explore the abandoned building, helped Abbasi here when he peeped through the window and almost fell on hearing the news.

Abbasi had heard from Prakash’s mother once that if a person donates his hair at a famous temple, God listens to his plead. On the very next day, a bald-headed Abbasi visited the hospital only to see Prakash combing his hair as his mother held the mirror. “Hair and Prakash go hand in hand”, mumbled Abbasi.
