Now isn’t that a bit philosophical? Or is it? Lets give it a thought. It might change your outlook towards the world! If I ask, one would reply saying that God is formless, omnipotent and omnipresent etc. I beg to differ onto such remarks as gobbledegook and move on with my chores. But, then I came across the quote and it churned my thinking gears. It was then that I started thinking about what God might really be like? Or could the phrase “GOD IS AN ADJECTIVE” be valid.

Each religion has its own interpretation for term ‘God’. But lately , I have come to realize that ‘God’ is a term that humans use to denote ‘HARMONY’ in the most appropriate sense. Harmony is when everything around oneself blends into one homogeneous flow of matter and energy and though in the midst of the cosmic swirl of material and non material connections, the self remains

detached from it, unaffected and undisturbed, one can almost feel the ripples on the surface of mind smoothening out, leaving a glassy smooth plane. The only conscious feeling in the mind in such a state is the sense of tranquility; like the quietness of solemn music or the stillness of the pulsating ocean. When the existence of the self itself vanishes leaving only a quiet space within the mind, one is said to have met God.

Such a space, once created, persists and by virtue of its own strength helps to repel all disturbances. The longer it stays, the stronger it becomes when blends into our lifestyles, we achieve what Jennifer Yu describes in her movie Kung-Fu Panda 2 as ‘Inner Peace’.

From the tiniest amoeba to the largest of galaxies, from the intricate details of the most minuscule to the minimality of even the most monumental of the objects that exists. This is in itself the best ever example of harmony that we can ever see. And people call it God.

So, believe in God or still searching for the inner peace?
