Tarun is a tabla artist and got into professional training under Shri Sandeep Chauhan when he was 3. He went on to give his first stage performance at the age of 6. He was also a child artist at All India Radio from the age of 7. Along with this, he has been giving regular stage performances in Nagpur, Khairagah, Nanded, Hydrabad , Mumbai, etc. In the course of time, he met Shri Prafulla Athayle who led him to “Pt. Arvind Mulgaonkarji”, who is the senior most disciple of “Late Ust. Amir Hussian Khan Saab”. He was the perfect guru for Tarun. He then juggled education with his training by travelling up & down to his Guru in Mumbai, thrice a month for 11 years until he finished his graduation and now has finally shifted to Mumbai. He has won the prestigious Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Yuva Sangeet Award in the year 2015. Another major milestone was on June 12, 2016, when he had the golden opportunity of performing with his Guru at Bhavan’s Campus, Mumbai.
