Devashish Guru, born in Raigarh started learning Indian Classical Music when he was 8. He completed Senior Diploma in Hindustani Music from Raigarh itself and BBA from Centre Point College, Nagpur. He belongs to a great musical background family where his Grandfather Late Shri. Raja Ram Guru was a Musician and Singer who used to perform at Darbaar of Raja Chakradhar Singh of Raigarh and his Father Shri B.S. Guru is managing his own band since 20 years. Devashish took all classical music lessons from his Grandfather. As a classical singer he started with his first solo perfomance at Ramkrishna Mission Ashram and since he has been performing with various troops. At 16, he took lessons for Guitar, Synthesizer and tabla as another medium of expression of his love towards music. He had participated in competitions of various levels and has won the voice of Jintal title during his school days and CPC idol when he was in college. He also got opportunity to perform with Indian Ocean Band leader Rahul Ram in Raipur. Currently he is pursuing further studies in Classical Singing.
