‘Life is a song, sing it’, says Avanti Baporikar. A girl who was born and brought up in Nagpur. At the age of 8 she started learning music under the guidance of her first guru Mrs. Purekar. Soon after her parents realised the priceless gift their daughter possessed in the form of blessed vocals. They trained her under various renowned teachers like Mrs.Sangeeta Nayak, Yashashri Bhave-Pathak, and Aniruddha Joshi. On in years, she completed her MA from SNDT College, Mumbai. Vis-à-vis learning music from Varsha Bhave. Soon after she performed in various live shows and recorded for many backing vocal. From then on she never looked back and participated in Sangeet Gurukul and judged Malhar Youth Fest, organised by Xavier’s College, Mumbai. This is not the end, as she released her single debut album ‘Paus Aala’. Presently she is working as a music teacher in NCPA’s ‘Music for School’ project. Soon she is coming up with a new Marathi romantic song.
